Good news! On March 14, 2019, CRRC held its 2019 Science and Technology Quality Work Conference in Qiqihar, where the "2018 CRRC Science and Technology Award" was presented on site. Among them, the laser cleaning project jointly developed by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., our company, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology: Research on Laser Cleaning Technology for Typical Rail Vehicle Components, won the Third Prize!

This project addresses the cleaning issues of oxides and oil stains during the construction and maintenance of rail vehicles, and has completed engineering application research on laser cleaning technology for the surfaces of the car body and gearbox. The main technological innovations of the project results are as follows:

1. According to the pre-weld cleaning requirements for large aluminum alloy components, an integrated cleaning and welding operation mode and supporting equipment have been developed;

2. Developed laser fine cleaning technology for post-weld decolorization and dust cleaning of stainless steel car bodies, avoiding surface damage and reduced corrosion resistance caused by traditional cleaning methods;

3. Proposed a laser cleaning process for key gearbox components such as collector rings and ultra-thin copper washers, which are deformation-free, low-stress, and minimally damaged, solving the problem of irreparable ultra-thin copper gaskets. Currently, the results of this project have been widely applied in projects such as the construction of stainless steel car bodies for urban rail vehicles, gearbox maintenance of EMUs, and high-speed magnetic levitation aluminum alloy car bodies. This is the first time laser cleaning technology has been applied in China's rail transit industry, and it boasts broad application prospects and tremendous promotional value!
